Kaitlin Capetillo is an associate attorney at Turner McDowell Family Law PLLC. Kaitlin has practiced family law since graduation from law school in 2014 and has direct experience handling a variety of family law issues including: premarital agreements, divorce, child custody & visitation, adoption, termination, child support, property division and the modification or enforcement of prior court orders. Kaitlin attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology in 2011 before moving to Lubbock, Texas, to receive her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2014.

Kaitlin has represented a variety of clients including: grandparents, businessmen, single fathers, working mothers, parents hoping to adopt, and even out-of-state parents. In one case, Kaitlin helped a working dad located in Louisiana obtain primary custody of his children and the ability to take his children back to Louisiana when the other parent received only supervised visitation. Kaitlin’s ability to connect with people is something that her clients value and appreciate. She gets to know the details of her clients’ cases backwards and forwards, and her hard work, preparation, and attention to detail pay off in the courtroom.

When a contested final trial is not the best strategy, Kaitlin knows there are other options. She listens carefully to her clients and takes the time to develop a game plan that is unique to her client’s specific needs and desires. This understanding and flexibility has allowed Kaitlin to have great success both in and out of the courtroom.
